Find Worth County Recent Arrests

Every search for Worth County recent arrests starts with the sheriff's custody report, yet no single list captures every arrest in the county. A new booking is one thing. An active jail stay is another. A past arrest record is a third. Someone booked last night may take hours to appear, and a person released can drop off just as quickly. The court file shows the outcome later. Rosters, record requests, court dockets, custody alerts, and corrections channels each answer a different piece of the question.

Worth County Recent Arrests

The sheriff's Who's in Jail page is the official front door. From there, a county-authorized Power BI report titled “Worth County Recent Arrests” carries the arrest data. An Active Inmates view covers current custody. A separate control lists people released in the last 30 days. Select a record and you may see the arrest date, arrest number, agency, booked charges, bond total, name, age, and residence. Each entry also has a photo card. It is a custody tool. It is not a complete historical arrest index.

Freshness takes care. The report has shown a last refresh of September 5, 2024. The refresh schedule is switched off. A row on screen may not match who is in custody at that moment. A new booking can lag. A released or transferred person may be missing. That person may also still be visible in a way that misleads. Check the live report and confirm with the sheriff before trusting any single row.

The official roster gateway is shown below.

When Worth Arrests Appear

Worth County publishes no written timeline for posting arrests online. No hourly or morning deadline is promised. No weekend or holiday posting pattern exists either. The report's stale refresh metadata makes any firm timing claim risky.

Open the report first. Note the check time. Look for the newest arrest date. If the person is missing, call the Worth County Sheriff's Office at 641-324-2481. Give the full name, the approximate date, the agency, and the arrest number if you have it. Ask whether the person is at Worth, moved to Mitchell County, released, or held by another authority. The office may limit details that are protected or not yet releasable.

A blank result does not prove release. The gap can mean delay. It can also mean transfer, quick release, a name variation, another jurisdiction, or a restricted record. The VINELink Custody Check gives a separate status check and alert route.

Search the Worth Arrest Roster

The report is interactive, not a plain list. Start in Active Inmates, then select a name or row to pull up the related cards and the image visual. Controls can shift if the county republishes the model. The released-in-last-30-days slicer is only a filter label, so records and photos may not stay online for a full 30 days.

A careful search follows four steps:

  1. Enter through Who’s in Jail and open its county report link.
  2. Choose Active Inmates and inspect any freshness information.
  3. Select a likely row and compare its date, number, agency, age, and residence.
  4. Record the arrest number and call the sheriff when status, photo, or housing is unclear.

The Worth County Jail lists no booking app. The sheriff's official Facebook page may carry announcements, but it is no dependable booking feed.

Worth Arrests and Mitchell Housing

Worth County Jail sits at 1000 Central Avenue in Northwood. That is the named facility. Yet the housing picture shifted in a major way. In July 2024, the Northwood Anchor reported that Manly Police and Iowa State Patrol arrestees were going straight to Mitchell County Jail. Worth sheriff inmates were also slated for transport. The Worth building was described as serving a short-term holding role. Later reporting still discussed a need for temporary cells.

Arrested in Worth County does not always mean held at Worth County Jail. The reports explain the split. They do not settle where one person sits today. Confirm the location with the sheriff. The report shows the arresting agency, but agency and facility are different facts. A transport, release, or outside hold can change the answer after intake.

Bond After a Worth Arrest

The sheriff's official FAQ explains release in more depth than the roster. It describes cash bond, cash or surety bond, and a bonding agency. Call 641-324-2481 to verify an amount. Cash handling differs inside and outside business hours.

Bond is a court-set release condition while a case proceeds, not a fine. A displayed total can change. Paying it does not update the online roster instantly. Other holds or transport may affect release too. Verify the amount and custody status, then follow the docket for later bond orders.

Official channels come first. Each one defines its own scope, while news sites and directories only add context and never replace a county arrest record.

Worth County Sheriff news and press release page

Dated press notices can explain selected events. They do not promise full daily booking coverage. Busted Newspaper, RecentlyBooked, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone offer no working Worth section. Mugshots.com lists Worth with zero records. Jail Exchange keeps a Worth directory page but offers no proof of current fields or a photo policy. Such pages can be stale, thin, or confused with another state, so compare any claim against the official arrest number, agency, and court record.

Recent Arrests by City

Municipal coverage differs, while public custody access stays county-centered.

Northwood's jail arrangement is in flux. Reports point both to an agreement ending and to a newer deal approved after. Check the city and sheriff sources together before counting on any one structure lasting.

Inside a Worth Arrest Record

A booking record gets created at intake in Worth County. Whatever the public report shows defines the online portion; the fuller arrest report or booking sheet may take a formal request.

Booking
Intake that records identity, arrest facts, charges, custody, and often a photo.
Arrest number
The county identifier for the event, useful in a request.
Bond
A court-set release condition that should be confirmed.
Disposition
The later result, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or conviction.
Expungement
A court process that can make an eligible case confidential.

The arrest date is not the publish date. Power BI adds the row when it adds it. Agency names the reporting body, which may not be the jail itself. Charges reflect booking only, and a prosecutor can file different counts while a court amends or dismisses them; for case numbers, hearings, and final outcomes, use Iowa Courts Online.

Worth Mugshots and Booking Photos

Select a record and the report displays an "Inmate Photo" visual for it. Worth County runs no mugshot gallery. Nothing in county rules promises that every booking photo appears. No rule states a posting time or sets how long an image stays up. A blank visual does not mean no photo was taken.

Want a specific image? Pick the matching row first. If the visual is empty, ask the sheriff whether the photo is releasable. Give the full name, date, arrest number, and agency. Read any booking image together with the case outcome in court records.

Iowa DOC keeps identification photos internally. Public display in an offender result must be checked live. A DOC image reflects state custody, not a fresh Worth booking. The federal BOP locator offers no public photo feed. The Marshals Service rarely releases prisoner photos in ordinary cases. The report's 30-day filter limits the data, not the photos. It guarantees no 30-day photo display.

Request a Worth Arrest Record

Worth posts no dedicated booking-record or photo request form, fee, or turnaround time. The sheriff forms page lists other forms. Avoid squeezing a records request into something unrelated. Chapter 22 allows a plain, specific request. The sheriff may charge lawful actual costs. The office may also ask for clarification, redact protected details, or withhold exempt material. The county's official forms page confirms no booking-photo request form exists.

Worth County Sheriff forms page without a dedicated booking photo request form

A narrow request to the sheriff is therefore the sound route.

  1. Give the name, date, arrest number, agency, and exact record type.
  2. Contact the sheriff at 1000 Central Avenue, Northwood, IA 50459, 641-324-2481, and ask where to submit it.
  3. Ask for a cost estimate and expected response before authorizing paid work.
  4. If material is denied, request the legal basis and any separable public portion.
  5. Seek disposition documents from the court clerk.

For older files, ask who holds the record series. Booking sheets, photos, roster data, and jail files may stay with Worth County or pass to another custodian, and no local retention period is published.

Worth Arrest Records Under Iowa Law

Iowa Code Chapter 22 sets the rules for public records statewide. Under Section 22.7(9), current and prior arrest records plus criminal-history data count as public. Certain criminal-identification files get protection instead. Public status has limits, though. Juvenile matters, sealed cases, expunged items, victim data, medical facts, addresses, and investigative material can all be restricted.

Iowa has no pay-to-remove mugshot statute. Criminal-history dissemination and correction fall under Chapter 692. Chapter 901C and the Iowa expungement forms handle eligible matters. An order still cannot wipe every sheriff backup, news story, or independent copy holding a Worth County arrest.

Fixing an error starts with the custodian. Send each office the mistake and any court order. RecentlyBooked accepts no payment for removal but lists no Worth page, and Mugshots.com describes a no-payment process with zero Worth records. Paying a company proves nothing. Once the source corrects itself, Google's outdated-content process can refresh its index.

Where Older Worth Records Go

Worth County publishes no retention schedule for booking sheets, arrest reports, roster data, or booking photos. The sheriff, jail, forms, and county pages lack one. The released-in-last-30-days control cannot fill that gap. It filters an interface; it sets no rule that a record lasts 30 days or gets destroyed on day 31. The report's metadata reveals no reliable roll-off pattern either.

Start with the agency that created the record. Ask the sheriff for the current retention schedule or record-series title covering jail intake sheets, digital roster entries, arrest reports, and photographs. Also ask whether Worth retains the file. Ask whether Mitchell County holds part of it under the housing arrangement. Ask whether a jail-management vendor stores it. Follow whichever custodian the answer names, since a transported person's complete Worth arrest file does not necessarily move with the person.

The State Historical Society records-management program explains how approved state schedules work and how permanently scheduled state records may reach the State Archives. That page is statewide, not a Worth County photo schedule. The Worth clerk is a court-record custodian, too, not the presumed archive for sheriff intake photographs.

For a past arrest, keep a simple chain of sources. Note any arrest number and agency from the report. Request the specific county record and its retention rule. Search Iowa Courts Online for the later filed case, and use the clerk for court documents. Historical Northwood Anchor issues may add secondary reporting once a roster entry disappears. That account can lag. It can omit the final result. If a correction or expungement order exists, send it separately to each agency and publisher holding a copy. Ask for written confirmation of the response.

Worth Arrest Warrants and Wanted Lists

Worth County publishes no active-warrant portal and no most-wanted list. The sheriff still keeps warrant data, though. Skip other counties' lists, since those names mean nothing here. For the right procedure, call the sheriff at 641-324-2481. Court-file questions go to the Worth clerk at 641-324-6539.

Iowa Courts Online can hint at warrant activity, but it is not live confirmation. A docket entry alone never proves a warrant is still active. Anyone worried about a warrant in their own name should talk with an attorney. The court can also advise on lawful resolution. Do not confront a person you believe is wanted. Dial 911 for danger, or use the sheriff's non-emergency line.

After a Worth County Arrest

Once booking is done, Iowa Courts Online is the main route to filed charges, hearings, bond orders, and disposition. Search by name, narrow the results to Worth, and match the case identifier. A missing case may come down to timing, another county, a name variation, or a restriction. The Worth County District Court page lists the clerk at 1000 Central Avenue, Northwood, phone 641-324-6539.

Iowa Judicial Branch Worth County court contact page

That contact bridges an arrest and the filed case that follows. Keep the stages separate. They run arrest, booking, first appearance, filed charges, hearings, and disposition. Arraignment is where formal charges and a plea are addressed. Disposition is the result. Only that later record shows dismissal, reduction, plea, acquittal, or conviction.

Custody Beyond Worth County

The Iowa DOC offender search covers state custody and supervision. Fields include name, offender number, location, offense text, and county of commitment. The agency says information updates weekly. “County of commitment: Worth” does not mean the person is now in Worth Jail.

For federal prison custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator. A federal pretrial detainee may instead be housed under Marshals arrangements. For immigration detention, use the ICE locator. Neither federal route proves a Worth arrest.

The captured federal locator shows that separate channel.
